Managing relationships is a critical skill, which starts with understanding others and knowing how to bring people along a journey together. The first step to understanding others is to power up and utilise our sense of empathy. In this session, we will share the science behind how we empathise and connect with others as well as techniques to develop our personal levels of empathy.
When we have empathy for another, we create an environment of Psychological Safety, which is proven to be a key success factor in fostering a healthy and productive culture. Participants learn about the benefits and importance of Psychological Safety as well as discovering what they can do to develop a culture of Psychological Safety within their organisations.
How to collaborate effectively and what gets in way, is another key focus of this course. In this session, we share the SCARF model, SCARF focuses on whether we threaten or reward one of five key domains. Participants will learn about each of the different domains and what it looks like to reward or threaten any one of these. Participants will walk away with the understanding of and tools to improve relationships through use of this model. When applied, this will encourage a culture of collaboration and productivity.
