DDLS Group's Innovative Training Programs Win 2022 Fortress Cyber Security Award

The Business Intelligence Group announced on 08 June 2022 that DDLS Group has won the global 2022 Fortress Cyber Security Awards in the Training category. The industry awards program identifies and rewards the world’s leading cybersecurity companies, products and training organisations that are working to keep our data and electronic assets safe from growing cyber risk.

The Training Award recognises DDLS Group for its industry-leading cybersecurity training programs, which deliver superior learning outcomes for students and address critical skills shortages – a key example being its specialised ‘Bootcamp’ courses.

Recognising that traditional TAFE and university models of education were restrictive and inaccessible for many people, DDLS Group developed a series of 'Bootcamp' courses with a unique study schedule. These 100% online-delivered courses offer more flexibility than traditional academic timetables, encouraging a wider range of students to participate.

The flagship ‘Certified Cybersecurity Professional' course turns participants with zero industry experience into job-ready, front line cybersecurity analysts in less than six months. The course was designed to alleviate the current shortfall of cybersecurity workers in Australia, estimated to be over 7000 by AustCyber General Manager, Dr Jed Horner. In the Philippines, a report by Fortinet found that 79% of companies identified the need for having more cybersecurity staff. In New Zealand, insights from Axonius found that 57% of organisations are affected by the skill shortage and that this shortage is a product of a lack of technical understanding of the requirements by recruitment managers and a lack of continuing education and training for existing cybersecurity professionals.
