    FAQs

Microsoft Azure training and certifications are designed to validate technical knowledge and ability in current and future industry job roles.

Azure certifications enable IT professionals, developers, and data and AI professionals to prove that they have the necessary skills to cover all the aspects of digital transformation - from managing on-premises, hybrid, or cloud infrastructure, to innovating with the best-in class applications. Microsoft Azure certifications and training also help these professionals show that they have what it takes to support those apps and infrastructure with data and analytics, all with the proper security considerations.

By migrating to the cloud and specifically to Azure, organisations can gain powerful yet cost-effective Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service options. Azure handles IaaS Servers, Storage, Identity, Security, Networking, and Compliance, freeing your team to focus on higher-level initiatives.

For individuals, Microsoft Azure courses and certifications support with expanding your career in cloud computing. Microsoft Azure certifications help secure credible roles such as cloud administrator, developer, security engineer, AI engineer, data engineer, solutions architect, and DevOps engineer.

To get an entry-level Azure certification, take the Microsoft AZ-900 Azure fundamentals exam after undergoing Microsoft Azure Fundamentals training. These are the recommended first steps toward a career in cloud computing.

From that point, you specialise as a developer, architect, security professional or data scientist. To do this, you can sit for intermediate courses and become a Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. You can also explore Azure virtual training on data fundamentals, Azure development, and Azure administrator training.

And how long does it take? Based on the experiences of our team and our students, on average, it will take around two months to familiarise yourself with the cloud computing platform. This includes Microsoft Azure Fundamentals training day, where you can hone your skills using different tools and explore different features.

From there, you can consider specialising and taking intermediate and role-based certifications in Microsoft Azure.

While it can seem daunting, you can achieve a Microsoft Azure certification. It takes preparation - sitting through courses, exploring the tools and passing the exams. Having determination, discipline, and confidence helps too. Candidates can take a maximum of 5 attempts at exams per year. This means you can bounce back and take extra chances to get it right. Once you have accomplished this, you can proudly say you are #MicrosoftCertified.

On whether coding is required, Microsoft Azure as a platform can be learned without needing programming, particularly for everyday infrastructure management. Most tasks can be done natively within the platform. However, there may be special cases where you must deploy an application to Azure. These special cases would require you to write some configuration code or a deployment script. In these cases, you can consult with a programmer or a member of your team with intermediate or advanced Azure expertise.

And can a non-technical person learn it? Training on Microsoft Azure fundamentals is great for beginners. You do not need to come from an IT background to be able to sign up for a course.

But it does help you follow discussions if you brush up on basic IT knowledge on networks, data analytics, mathematics, some terms and concepts related to Machine Learning and how Web servers work before starting a course. During the course, you will learn how to start working with Azure.

The best way to learn Microsoft Azure is to combine self-study and online resources with instructor-led training through a learning partner like Lumify Work in Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines. Gain expert-led instruction from award-winning Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCTs) who can share their real-world experiences.

The short answer is, "You can!" Azure offers many services that don't require advanced coding skills. For instance, Azure's Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings, like Azure App Service, allow you to deploy web applications without delving into complex coding. To ensure you find the right Azure training, we're here to support you. We recommend you review the prerequisites per course and discuss them with your Lumify Work account manager.
