Why study this course

PRINCE2® 7th Edition seeks to respond to changes that have taken place in the world and in the discipline of project management since the previous update in 2017.

The essence of PRINCE2 remains - with principles, practices (previously called themes), and a set of processes that comprise the lifecycle of a project. The 7th Edition has evolved to meet the demands of the digital revolution, the speed of change, the rise of Agile ways of working, and the increased volatility and uncertainty of all aspects of life. PRINCE2 7th Edition equips project managers with the tools, knowledge, and flexibility to effectively manage projects in today's dynamic environment. It provides guidance on integrating Agile practices, tailoring the method, focusing on benefits realisation, and offers practical case studies to support project managers in successfully delivering Agile and digital transformation projects.

What is PRINCE2?

  • It is a structured method for managing projects that is flexible, adaptable, and tailorable

  • It can be applied to any project, regardless of the purpose, scale, type, organisation, geography, or culture

  • It is practical, flexible, scalable and repeatable

  • It provides the “how to” for managing successful projects

Why sit this course?

The purpose of this transition course is to provide a pathway to Project Management professionals who have been certified in the previous version (PRINCE2 6th Edition) and would like to gain an understanding of the changes introduced within the 7th Edition.

This course is designed to provide the base level of knowledge required without having to sit a full Foundation-level course, and will cover the fundamental changes to the existing methodology such as the reduction of rules and the simplification of terms, content, and language to improve the effectiveness and flexibility of PRINCE2 across any project.

It will also introduce NEW modules and concepts missing from previous versions like the integration of people, who are central to successful projects. Sustainability is added as a seventh aspect of project performance to reflect modern organisational needs, and digital and data is added as an approach to meet the evolving needs of project management professionals.

The new PRINCE2 7 incorporates change management and is more adaptable, having an increased compatibility with other methodologies and frameworks such as Agile, Lean, and ITIL, to improve overall project performance.

What's included?

Included with this course is a 12-month PeopleCert Membership, the PRINCE2 7 Managing Successful Projects official publication (digital format eBook), Practitioner Official Training Materials (OTM), and the PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam. To assist in passing the exam you are permitted to use only the PRINCE2 7 Managing Successful Projects official publication provided.
