Why study this course

Learn about the TOGAF® framework and develop your skills to transform enterprises with purpose and resilience in Agile Architecture, the Digital Enterprise, and Design Thinking.

The TOGAF EA Practitioner course, accredited by The Open Group and delivered by Lumify Work as a two-day course, provides an understanding of the latest release of the TOGAF Standard, 10th Edition. The improvements in business, technology, and general practice and integrating concepts, best practices, and thought leadership. Master the disciplines of enterprise architecture contained within the next generation TOGAF Standard, 10th Edition to design enterprises, respond to change, create value, and empower teams to work independently.

The course will provide guidance in TOGAF EA concepts for real-world situations, utilising case studies (AKA Learning Studies) to understand the practical methods available of applying these learnings. Our instructors are highly experienced practitioners and will add valuable insights in passing on their experience in these exercises.

This course focuses on the learning outcomes for TOGAF EA Practitioner programme syllabus and certification, demonstrating that as a professional, you have acquired an understanding of how to develop transformational enterprise architecture.

Upon successful completion of the Learning Studies - a mandatory component of the TOGAF EA Practitioner course - candidates will be eligible for the Applied TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Practitioner badge.

A Shift in Paradigm

The TOGAF standard, 10th Edition introduces the integration of universal concepts, proven best practices, and emerging ideas, which differentiates it from previous versions and approaches.

Move to Micro Service Architecture

The evolution of the TOGAF Standard, 10th Edition includes a move towards a modular structure. The structure, comprised of 6 documents, is known as the Fundamental Content and offers a basic starting point for anyone looking to apply the TOGAF framework.

Extended Guidance for Practitioners, Leaders, and Specialists

Also included is Extended Guidance, a series of Guides and “Best Practice” content for specific topics such as using Agile Methods, business architecture, data and information architecture, and security architecture. The extended guidance is continually evolving with new series guides being added over time.

The various roles within Enterprise Architecture are covered in the companion guides which address questions such as: how to setup EA Practices and apply Business Architecture; what reference models to use; and what security architecture to implement.

Learning Pathways

Several learning pathways exist that focus on a group of learners and their respective skills set. Micro-credentials are awarded for shorter bursts of learning of around 3 hours of study. The credentials focus on specific areas that include TOGAF EA Leader, TOGAF Framework: Agile Specialist, and TOGAF Framework: Digital Specialist.

Examination

At the end of the training, you will be prepared to sit your certification exam. Your exam voucher is valid for 12 months and will be distributed at the completion of your course; you can then book your exam with Pearson VUE.

The TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Part 2 Exam is supervised and has a passing score of 60% (24/40).
