ITIL® 4 has been designed to help organisations meet the increasing demand from the current complex digital environment. It is backwards compatible with ITIL v3 and streamlined to provide better progression beyond Foundation level.
The entry point into ITIL certification for all students is ITIL 4 Foundation.
Students who are new to ITIL should sit the three-day ITIL 4 Foundation course, while students with at least two-to-three years of practical working experience in IT and Service Management may opt for Lumify Work's two-day ITIL 4 Foundation - Fast Track course.
ITIL 4 Certification Designations
The ITIL 4 Certification Scheme comprises three separate designations which may be pursued after passing ITIL 4 Foundation.

To obtain the ITIL Practice Manager (ITIL PM) designation, the candidate must complete a certain combination of PM modules, and may include the ITIL Extension Modules. Further information will be released by PeopleCert in autumn (northern hemisphere) 2023.
If all three designations are successfully attained, the candidate will be eligible to become an ITIL Master.

What is an ITIL certification course? ITIL is the pre-eminent framework for managing IT service delivery globally. ITIL is a service lifecycle model that prescribes processes during the design, development, delivery and support of IT services. Businesses that adopt the ITIL framework ensure their services are delivered to a high standard.
How do I get ITIL certified? You can become ITIL certified by taking Lumify Work's ITIL training courses then sitting and passing the relevant exams. Most of our ITIL courses include an exam voucher.
How long does ITIL certification take?
The time it takes to gain certifications vary on the level and designation. Advanced designation includes several modules. How long it takes to get certified also depends on one's time commitment and preparedness for the ITIL exam.
For example, ITIL Foundation course takes place with an instructor over two and a half days. At the end of the course, you can take a few weeks to review and then take a one-hour exam.
Are ITIL courses right for you? ITIL courses are a set of best practices and principles, and the framework is based on organisational cultural shifts and embracing change. If you’re someone who wants to further your career in IT service management and ensure you’re always delivering outputs efficiently and effectively, then ITIL is for you.
