Why study this course

» This Combined course is also available as two separate courses: AgilePM Foundation and AgilePM Practitioner.

The Agile Project Management Methodology works to deliver workable business solutions, in a fraction of the time that other traditional project management approaches can deliver. Time to market with robust and workable operational solutions is the essence of today’s organisations. Whether you are from a small, or large sized business, private or public sector, then the Agile Project Management way is for you.

Today’s fast paced and competitive business environment is increasing pressure on organisations to deliver services and working solutions in shorter and more aggressive timeframe; without compromising on quality and profit. To meet the modern-day challenge of doing more with less, businesses need to adopt a more flexible and dynamic approach to delivering projects; that way is Agile Project Management.

This course, accredited by APMG, provides the world’s first independent certification in Agile Project Management. It provides participants with an understanding of how the Agile Project Management processes can guide the planning, management and control of successful Agile projects. This course provides the opportunity to gain certification as an Agile Project Manager at the Foundation level.

Included with the Foundation course is a copy of the Agile Project Management (White Book), version 2.

Following on from Foundation level, our Agile Project Management Practitioner course is uniquely designed to provide the in-depth knowledge and understanding necessary to practice and apply the Agile Project Management methodology. Participants are required to exhibit competency acquired from the Agile Project Management Foundation qualification and show how they can apply Agile Project Management to address the needs of a project, the sponsoring organisation and needs of the various stakeholders, to a set of specific project scenarios.

Examination
This course pricing includes vouchers for the AgilePM Foundation Exam and AgilePM Practitioner Exam which can be taken via remote proctor. Practice exam papers are provided in the course, and reviewed to assist in preparation.

The Foundation exam is:

  • 40 minutes

  • 50 multiple-choice questions, worth 1 mark each

  • Closed book – no other materials are allowed

  • Requires 50% (25 marks) pass to attain certification

The Practitioner exam is:

  • 2.5 hours

  • Objective testing complex multiple-choice questions

  • Open book (Agile Project Management official handbook v2 only)

  • 80 marks, comprising 4 questions worth 20 marks each

  • Requires 50% (40 marks) pass to attain certification

It is highly recommended that you spend some time each evening of this course reviewing and consolidating what you’ve learned, to be well prepared for the exams.

Important note: AgilePM courses are structured differently between Australia and New Zealand. In Australia, AgilePM follows a similar pattern to other Foundation and Practitioner courses, as 3+2 days (or 3+1.5). In New Zealand, this is reversed as a 2+3 pattern, giving more focus to the Practitioner component.
