ITIL Strategic Leader (SL) Designation (Version 5)

ITIL Version 5 is here! Are your teams navigating AI adoption, product‑centric models, or rapid digital transformation? This designation validates the ability to align strategy with execution and deliver measurable outcomes in modern digital environments. The advanced modules required to achieve this designation help develop capabilities in strategy development, transformation execution, governance, and organisational change, equipping professionals with the expertise to lead in dynamic and uncertain contexts.

Overview

The ITIL® Strategic Leader (SL) is one of three intermediate designations in the ITIL 5 certification scheme.

ITIL SL is comprised of these two modules:

Both modules are valuable independently but both must be completed to obtain the ITIL Strategic Leader designation.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of the ITIL FoundationVersion 4 or Version 5 certification.

To be awarded ITIL Strategic Leader designation you must also demonstrate a minimum of three years of managerial experience.

PeopleCert Exams

All PeopleCert exams are now conducted via online proctoring, with an improved web-based platform released in February 2024. Candidates can schedule their exam for any time within the voucher validity period of 12 months, to be taken anywhere, on any Windows or Mac computer. Live proctors will guide and invigilate the exam process. For full details please see PeopleCert's Guidelines for Web-Based Exam Driver.

To comply with PeopleCert requirements, Lumify Work cannot provide PeopleCert training courses (ITIL®, Lean Six Sigma, DevOps Institute, MoP®, M_o_R®, MSP®, P3O®, PRINCE2®, and PRINCE2 Agile®) without the corresponding official exam.
