Why study this course

DevSecOps Foundation℠ will introduce the purpose, strategies, concepts, practices, vocabulary, outcomes, and benefits of DevSecOps.

With DevOps, organisations deploy code faster and more often than ever. New security vulnerabilities and risks are accelerating with the evolution of ever more complex distributed systems, and ever more sophisticated, AI-assisted, cyber-attack patterns. Development, operations, business, and security teams value DevSecOps as an integral, strategic security framework. Delivering secure software innovations at the speed of business is essential for any modern organisation.

Course topics covered include how DevSecOps provides business value, enhancing your business opportunities, and improving corporate value. The core DevSecOps principles taught support organisational transformation, increase productivity, reduce risk, remove bottlenecks, and optimise resource usage.

This course explains how DevOps security practices differ from other approaches, and provides the practical education needed to apply changes to your organisation. Participants learn the purpose, benefits, principles, vocabulary, and practices needed to apply DevSecOps. They learn how DevSecOps roles fit with a DevOps culture and organisation. They learn how Security as Code (SaC) makes software development and delivery secure and demonstrate compliance with Compliance as Code (CaC).

This course teaches the steps to transform an organisation's people, processes, technologies, and governance to successful DevSecOps outcomes. The learning material includes real-world case studies, video presentations, discussion options, and exercises to make the learning experience interactive and lively and add learning value. Real-life scenarios create tangible takeaways participants can leverage on their return to work.

After this course, you'll be well-positioned to successfully complete the DevSecOps Foundation certification exam.
