The time it takes to gain certifications varies depending on the level and designation. Intermediate designations include several courses. How long it takes to get certified also depends on one's time commitment and preparedness for the ITIL exam.
For example, the ITIL Foundation course takes place with an instructor over three days. At the end of the course, you can sit the exam immediately or take a few weeks to review and then sit the one-hour exam.
You can become ITIL certified by taking ITIL training courses from from accredited training organisations like Lumify Work, and then sitting and passing the relevant ITIL exams.

PeopleCert Exams
All PeopleCert exams are now conducted via online proctoring, with an improved web-based platform released in February 2024. Candidates can schedule their exam for any time within the voucher validity period of 12 months, to be taken anywhere, on any Windows or Mac computer.
